The best part about college is the free gym… no seriously, this will never happen again. Take advantage of it. 20 minutes a day 4-5 times a week is all you need. We know waking up early is hard, so go in-between classes or after your classes are over. Those 20 minutes a day will be so beneficial. Your mind will be sharper, your confidence will be boosted, and your endorphins will skyrocket.

Eat Relatively Well….

Let’s be honest. What is more tempting than the cereal bar in the caf? We know it’s hard to avoid, but try starting your day with eggs and fruit in the morning. Hit the cereal bar when you want, but not every day. It’s all about the combination of eating veggies and lean meats, but also eating what you want when you want because you’re young and you can. As long as you get those 20 minutes of some kind of exercise in a day, you’re gucci.

Water

Water is so important. Not only is it the one thing that will actually cure your hangover from the weekend, but your body needs it always. Drinking water throughout the day will keep you hydrated and awake in class. Not only is it good to drink during the day, but it also is the best mixer. Instead of drinking a margarita or a vodka cranberry, try a vodka or tequila water with a lime. Get that daily water intake in all ways possible!

Rest

Naps are the freaking best. Take them… every chance you get. You will never regret it because you will need the extra sleep when the weekend comes along. Getting enough sleep can remove toxins in your brain that build up while you are awake, it reduces stress and improves your mood, it helps you think clearer and do better in class. Getting a good nights sleep is the most important aspect of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in college, so get yourself a bomb mattress pad and get your sleep on.
